Questions & Answers

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions.

What kind of camera do you use

I shoot with a mirrorless Canon EOS R and/or EOS R5. I listed some of my gear here.

Do you travel for shoots

Yes. I’m based in Washington, D.C., but travel is what I live for. No matter where you live or plan to go, please contact me.

What time of day do you prefer to shoot

“Golden Hour.” That is the first hour after sunrise, and the last hour before sunset, which produces and nice warm natural light. With that being said; depending on the location, any time of day will work.

Who decides on the location

You can decide, if you already have a site in mind. Or I can suggest some locations; it’s completely up to you.

What happens if it rains

If it rains on the day of your shoot, we will reschedule for the next day that both you and I are available.

Can I reschedule

You can reschedule up to 24 hours before the shoot. If it’s within the 24-hour period, a re-scheduling fee of $150 will be applied.

What if my shoot goes over the allotted time

Photography sessions are “up to the hour.” Sometimes we’ll conclude a little before, or a little after the hour. A 15-minute grace period is given; anytime beyond that will incur an hourly rate of $300.

When can I expect my edited photos

You can expect to see a “sneak peek” within 48 hours so that you can start sharing your photos ASAP! Your complete session will be delivered within 2 weeks (10 business days). If you need your images sooner, a $150 rush fee will be applied.

How will you deliver my images

I’ll send you a secure Dropbox link that will give you access to cropped (for Instagram) and un-cropped (HUGE) photos.

Do you photograph engagements, new borns, family, etc.?
